FONTAINES D.C., JANE’S ADDICTION AND KASABIAN ARE THE FIRST 3 HEADLINERS REVEALED.

DINOSAUR JR., SLEAFORD MODS, SHAME AND WU-LU ROUND OUT A FIRST ROUND OF ROCK-HEAVY ANNOUNCEMENTS.

Announced this morning the return of La Prima Estate 2024, the festival in Lido di Camaiore that brought great international music back to the historic location of BussolaDomani Park, enjoying growing success with the public.
Confirming the formula of the previous edition, the festival will take place over two weekends in June, Friday through Sunday (14-15-16 / 21-22-23) with four artists on stage each night.

Early announcements reveal the artists who will perform during the first and last of the six scheduled evenings and denote a strong rock bent of this first part of the billboard.

FIRST WEEKEND:

Opening the first weekend will be JANE’S ADDICTION, a legendary alternative rock band, recognized as one of the most innovative and unconventional of all time. Perry Farrell stands out as one of rock’s most visionary and enigmatic frontmen: his voice soars with vibrancy, vulnerability and vitality. A guitar god, Dave Navarro conjures up riffs that are psychedelic and epic at the same time. Stephen Perkins’ tribal rhythm remains hypnotic and paralyzing. The band has created a sound the world has never heard before and thus enters the Olympus of legends.

Before them, DINOSAUR JR., another U.S. band that made a huge contribution in the influences of alternative rock, will take the stage. Mascis’ drawling vocals and distinct guitar sound, reminiscent of classic rock of the 1960s and 1970s and characterized by extensive use of feedback and distortion, were very influential in the alternative rock movement of the 1990s.

What Dinosaur Jr. produces is nothing less than a beautiful new version of the rock continuum: riffs, power, rhythm and desire, with an eye to the future and its infinite variations.

The ’90s Jane’s Addiction and Dinosaur Jr. are joined by Britain’s SLEAFORD MODS, the post-punk band that has inspired countless musicians in the genre since the second half of the 1990s and boasts a strong connection with Jane’s Addiction rock, confirmed by their recent collaboration working side by side. The rock escalation on Friday, June 14, undoubtedly makes the first night of the festival an unmissable encounter between past and present, in a dialogue between generations that only music can give the audience.

From past to contemporary rock. The closing Sunday will feature the alternative rock of Irish band FONTAINES D.C. and the pop-rock of KASABIAN, accompanied by SHAME and WU-LU.
FONTAINES D.C. are among the most beloved bands on the contemporary alternative scene. With an irresistible mix of post-punk, alternative rock and intensely charged lyrics they are currently considered one of the best rock bands around. Testifying to this is not only press acclaim and consistently sold-out shows, but also the power of their live shows: listening to them and seeing them perform is a breathtaking experience. Co-headliners KASABIAN, on the other hand, are a British band formed in the late 1990s that has scored six number one albums in the UK and sold more than 5.5 million albums worldwide. The group has won a BRIT Award, seven NME Awards, four Q Awards and has headlined major stages around the world, including Glastonbury. The evening at La Prima Estate is rounded out with two more incredible bands from the contemporary rock scene: SHAME, a post-punk band that debuted in 2018 with its first album and has already won critical acclaim with this one, and WU-LU, a British producer, multi-instrumentalist and singer with post-punk tones laden with depth, skate-park screams and veiled hip hop on par with the great artists of the contemporary scene.

This is the first round of announcements for The First Summer 2024. In the coming days, the names of the remaining 4 nights that will complete the program of these summer weekends at BussolaDomani Park in Lido di Camaiore will also be unveiled.
